On July 9, 2015 the District of Columbia Court of Appeals issued a 41 page opinion granting a victory to Malloy Law Offices and reversing a D.C. trial court's decision to grant summary judgment against Mr. Malloy's client in a complicated real estate dispute.
This is a significant victory for the law firm's clients, who are real estate investors and area restauranteurs. The appeal concerned disputed title to property and involved complex issues of real estate law and evidence. This important ruling clears the way for Malloy Law Offices to take this matter to trial in the Superior Court for the District of Columbia. The appeal briefs were drafted by Seann Malloy and Aleksandr Shubin. Mr. Malloy argued for his clients before a three judge panel at the District of Columbia Court of Appeals. The case is Nayereh Sahrapour, et al. v. LesRon, LLC, et al., Case Number 13-CV-724 (CAR-3370-08). This reported decision is posted on Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia's website.
