We walk the same streets, ride the same trains, and drive on the same highways. Sometimes, through no fault of our own, we experience mechanical problems and need repairs for our own vehicles. This week’s blog post will list a handful of DMV car repair garages, along with some information on the communities you can find them in.

Before we begin in earnest, however, it’s important that we review the steps you should take after suffering a car accident. Bethesda Garages

You don’t have to look hard for a garage near our flagship office in Bethesda’s Woodmont Triangle. New Bethesda Auto Repair can be found in the same parking lot as the Woodmont Exxon on Wisconsin Avenue. In the opposite direction, two more garages can be found just a block away from each other. Newtown Auto Body of Bethesda on Montgomery Avenue and Imperial Auto Body of Bethesda on the East-West Highway. In the upscale and fashionable Bethesda Row area, Quattro Auto Body can be found on Elm Street between Equinox and The Halal Guys.

Clinton Garages

Clinton, Maryland is home to a remarkable number of garages, mechanics, and body shops. These include:

Alexandria Garages

You can find a handful of garages within walking distance of Alexandria’s famous Old Town district. Bradham Automotive, Prime Auto Care Inc, and Metro Motor can all be found on North Henry Street. With another garage located several blocks away in George’s Foreign Car Service, located on Cameron Street. A separate garage called Foreign Car Service is located further north on Bashford Street.

It should be noted as well that, while not technically located in Alexandria, more DMV car repair garages are just a short beltway ride away towards Franconia.

Baltimore Garages

While some debate whether the city of Baltimore counts as a part of the DMV, we have no qualms about including it. We have an office in Baltimore and are honored to serve residents of the Charm City whenever the opportunity arises. As you may expect for a city of its size, Baltimore has no shortage of options for anyone in need of automotive repairs. So rather than an exhaustive list, we’ll seek to highlight some of the largest and most notable.

Located between the neighborhoods of Gwynn’s Falls and Carroll South, A1 Auto Three Brothers Car Repair has been in service for over 30 years and is located on Fredrick Avenue. Moving downtown, towards the fashionable Inner Harbor you can find Clark’s Automotive on Eastern Avenue and East Baltimore Car Care on Bank Street. Both these garages come highly recommended and can be found just a few blocks away from each other in Fell’s Point.

Further East, just south of Patterson Park, is Nicholas Fleet Street Auto Repair on South Luzerne Avenue, and further north, in Orangeville, is Vince’s Auto Repair & Sales on East Monument Street

Washington DC Garages

Given real estate prices in downtown Washington DC, you may be surprised at a relatively low number of garages in the District itself. Though this makes more sense when you consider the robust public transit infrastructure and traffic concerns make owning a car unnecessary for many DC residents. But if you are downtown and in need of service to your vehicle you may want to consider Capitol Hill Auto Service, located on Independence Avenue near the Supreme Court and Library of Congress. NoMa residents can find quality service at Tony’s Auto Repair on Congress Street. Those in the Friendship Heights Area can make us of DP Auto Service on Connecticut Avenue
